Tumblr? Say what?

I realize I fail at blogging. I can’t write in detail about menial things I did all day. I can’t crank out awe-inspiring, well crafted prose about interesting things in my life regularly. I have always refused to blog frivolously. Every post had to be a piece of masterful writing perfectly executed. And it drained me every time. I’m sick of it.

Hence Tumblr. The whole point of this platform is to keep it short and concise. You can’t even customize it so much, which is great, because I tend to overthink things like that. But you can post absolutely anything, videos, audio, pictures, links and quotes, you name it. So you’ll find people with Tumblr blogs who just post a picture, or quote an IM conversation to sum up an entire day.

That’s better for me I think. I almost always have some notion floating around in my head. The simplicity of this makes it non-awkward for me to make a post with only one sentence. Or one word.

I used to blog anonymously, so to speak, but I realise I actually like reading my friends’ blogs, and I do so regularly. So I thought it’d be kinda nice to let others in on whats up in my life. In other words, it’s nice to have some kind of response haha.

So yeah, link me to your own blogs :p.

Blogger just kills me.

And this is probably the longest post I’ll ever make on this damn thing.

P/S : If you’re wondering how I found Tumblr, it was through Lena Chen of Sex and the Ivy. Oh, the lulz.
